awesome for taking a site out. however. placing one backing requires a bit of luck and a lot of measure twice and push once. always make sure to make sure you have the correct site for the gun you want to do. otherwise leave it to a professional gunsmith.

Great buy

Solid product, easy to use. This will work for all of my hand guns. Well designed.I hesitated on spending so much but after reading review of cheaper products, I decided I'd rather spend a bit more and get a solid tool.I should never need to buy another one, this feels build to last.

Awesome sight tool - saves time and money

Easily removed the factory sights and installed suppressor height sights on a Glock 19 and a P80. This would have cost $100 each at a local gun shop and a week for each one to get back to me.I love the weight of the tool, it's heavy and stout and with everything locked down tight you can rotate it move it around different angles and your slide absolutely won't move. Fine tuning of tool and rear sight was simple.

Great sight Pusher!

I love this sight pusher. After about 10 uses I was loosening the front right knob and it somehow cross threaded.. I can still actuate it with plyers but having that knob be cross threaded kind of bricks the device. Anyway real avid sent me a replacement within a week! Buy with confidence.

Easy to use, doesn't work on red dot plates over 1 inch.

Pro - Once I spent a little time figuring it out, it's easy to use and works well.Con - I have an EGW red dot plate that I need to press into a 1911 slide and it doesn't fit between block points and the block doesn't go far enough over to press it in.

A sturdy product and worth the additional cost for the reliability.

I didn't buy this on Amazon but at Cabelas because I ordered a different one from ‘zon but received a broken, used and abused product and I have to return it so rather than chance another broken product, I went to Cabelas and bought this one which worked fantastically. The only thing I would change is protecting the side of the sight which is being pushed by the device since it can leave a small indent. I will include pictures of what you might receive if you order cheaper models on ‘zon.

Extremely well made, easy to use, sturdy

Not very happy. The slide started to move and destroyed the new rear sight. Front sight went in fairly good. Would like to return the pusher

I have used it twice now and it works great!!! Very well built and quality is top notch. It is easy to use and a must for your workbench.

Not compatible with any P320 or P365 builds, even though it says it’s compatible with “most” striker fire pistols. To top it off, the QR code that supposed to link you to compatible guns sends you straight to the store to buy a site pusher.

I was pushing my sight over on a Sig p-938 and the slide wanted to lift in the back even though I had everything tightened down as tight as I could get it. I was afraid I was going to break the slide. I kept trying and it kept lifting. The sight was in there super tight. the sight finally left loose and moved, and I got it to where I needed it to be! Yah!! I really do like this sight pusher, but I am concerned about it letting the slide lift with super tight sights. I only used it for 1 gun to push so far so I don't know if that will happen again or not?? I gave it 4 stars due to that, but if that would not have happened it would have definitely got 5 stars I never thought that would have happened as solid as it is. I did get what I wanted from it though so I'm happy !

The Master Sight Pusher is well made and well engineered. It made replacing and adjusting the front and rear sights on several of my pistols a very smooth operation. The slides all fit secure and safely in the fixture. I have and will continue to recommend this product.

Awesome! Makes removing and putting in new sites easy.

It's a nice design but comes up lacking in pistols you can use it on. I will not work on my Smith & Wesson M&P Shield or my Beretta M9. Also the instructions do not mention how to use or what the extra parts are that are included in the box. Watching the video didn't help either as there is no mention of these extra parts. I own a lot of Real Avid tools so I can say the quality is excellent but the instructions are extremely poor.

The best tool to change sights, especially if you have an Sig P365. The right tool for the right job!

Great product wish they would make it more affordable

HATE THE PRICE but worth it to be able to set the FRONT sights on my Sig Sauers. Able to set the rear and front sights no problem. And does raised or suppressor height iron sights as well no issue.

Worked well on a Ruger MK2

It worked well on removing a rear sight on my Ruger MK2 and installing a base for a reflex sight. Appears to be well made. and is easy to set up and operate.

Solid choice in this price range.

I've been a full time professional Cerakote applicator since 2014. Disassembling and reassembling firearms is a big part of what I do.People shopping for sight pushers generally don't have much middle ground to choose from. There are the big dollar pushers from brands like Meprolight and MGW that can run north of $600. They do a great job and are well worth the investment for a professional shop, or if money is no object. We have one of the Meprolights at the shop and it's a solid workhorse. At the other end of the scale you have the $50-$60 pushers from brands like NC Star. These are OK for the guy who maybe wants to install night sights on his carry gun, and maybe do one for his neighbor too or whatever. But they're not really up to the rigors of constant and various use from a working shop or a devout hobbyist.Other than the Wheeler, I'm not aware of too many other sight pushers in the $150-$200 price range. I ordered one of these as a back up for the shop.If you're new to sight pushers, and even if you're not, you'll want to take your time setting it up, making sure that everything is positioned properly, aligned correctly, and locked down before you start to crank on it. Just follow the instructions. As long as you do your part, this pusher will do its part too. Since I received it, I've removed and replaced sights on M&P, Kimber, Kahr, and Sig slides. It does what it's supposed to, and with authority. The option of choosing different pushing surfaces by rotating the pusher claw is a nice feature and allows you to get the best possible angle and torque at the base of the sight. Now, anyone who does this work knows that Croatian made Springfield XD variant sights are installed in the very pits of Hades by Lucifer's minions, and that's why getting them out is THE DEVIL!! I haven't crossed paths with a dreaded XD since getting the Avid, so we'll have to see about that one when it comes along... As is inevitable. So yeah, it's a great pusher in the price range, solid, and provides lots of torque. The option of putting a 1/2" wrench on the wheel for leverage is another nice touch. If I had only one gripe it's that I wish the vice mounting options were better. I'd rather see some mounting holes in the base of the pusher so that I could bolt it to a solid piece of lumber to clamp in the big shop vice. That's how the shop Meprolight pusher is set up.Other than that though, money very well spent. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Push em'

I got this to change the sights on Sig Sauer P320's I like it very much but I wish there was a way to lock the slide I. A bit better, it rocks a bit while pushing the sights. I've used it on P320's and an HK VP9, it works okay with them but if there was a way to block the recoil guide lug it would be helpful. The tool is well made solid and easy to use. Good quality.

It's expensive, but works well.

So, I used this on my new Taurus G3c to install some tritium night sights. It worked well. The old sights pushed out fine, the new sights however...It doesn't anchor the slide very well and it started to twist in the tool, lifting on the side pressure was being applied on the new sight. Luckily I noticed before it started to press on the side of the slide and eventually got the sights installed and centered as well as I can by eye. The new sight has marks where the tool was pushing on it. Not a big deal to me, it's just a tool and would end up with marks and such eventually anyway.I'm not sure what else I could have done without filing the new sights, but I'd worry about tightness even with the set screw. Either way, it works and works fairly well. I'm glad I bought this when cheaper options are half the price and this is nearly half the price of the gun I used it on, but I own a tool that should last a lifetime. I'm glad I did.I recommend, but am leaving it at 4 stars for now.
